Upon Second Thought

It was last May when the PWHL’s two newest entries—Seattle and Vancouver—were first introduced to the rules and procedures governing their roster construction.

At the time, we remember reading more than a few articles predicting a “sweetheart” setup that would allow the newbies to storm the league in year one.

Fast-forward to today’s standings (see above), and those fears appear to have been wildly overstated.

In hindsight, perhaps a little less fear-mongering was in order.

What’s that?

HockeySpy.ca was one of them?

Um… never mind.

Carry on.

Nothing to see here—except proof that predictions are undefeated in May and useless by January.
